{fashion fix – burberry // fall 2012}

beware, this post is long concerning the pictures… i couldn’t decide what to leave away…

london fashion week is happening right now. and yes, burberry prorsum showed already. and yes, i’m in luuuuv again…
‘town and field’ was the overall theme which shows in corduroys, tweeds, subtle glenchecks, laces, boxy stripes, floral prints diagonal ruffles, boxy cropped outerwear jackets and waxed parkas. i adore the booties, the grandpa caps {my personal must-haves for fall/winter 2012} and the studded leather gloves.
the show had a sweet ending indeed: a thunderstorm scenario and models walking out into the glittery rain with beautiful striped & solid coloured umbrellas…

{delicious lunch // don’t call it borschtsch}

yesterday was the day to eat my present… yes, i know… this is a very strange sentence. but it is very very simple actually: my friend B. loves to cook, i know YOU know that already {when you read this blog regularly}, and she loves canning food. that’s why she named her blog glasgefluester {glass whispering}. back to that first sentence: she canned a soup {click it for the recipe} for me, which her cookbook called borschtsch, but i know that it is NO borschtsch since my mom makes THE best borschtsch in the whole world {one day a recipe will follow… promise}. nevertheless the soup was delicious, i will call it beetroot soup from now on ;-) thanks again B., a very rad present indeed {you can make it anytime and i’ll eat it}. xo

hope you all had a great weekend. did you do something nice? B. {from glasgefluester of course} and me took some photography lessons with B.’s dad {he’s a photographer} and it was a lovely weekend in northern germany {like really really northern ;-)} where we learned a lot, had a blast and were almost blown away by the heavy sea breeze… have a happy start into this new lovely week…

i’m leaving you with one of my fave fashion labels: preen and their fall winter 2012 runway look. amazing. love LOVE L.O.V.E. the colours, shapes, prints {!!!} and all those little details. have an amazing and inspired weekend, i’m off to a photographic weekend with my friend B. and hope to return a photographic genius {;-), well… actually to understand a bit more of photography}. so long, take care, xo.

what a lovely, poetic and fantastic movie with incredible actors and a beautiful and magical setting and storyline. a dream… not only for children… but for your child within. take a dive into the magical & adventurous world of hugo cabret. {i think i have to read the book by brian selznick and i hope the movie is going home with its 11 oscar nominations}. i highly recommend it if you plan to see a movie at the weekend. xo

i know, i know… this is going to be video day watching today… i hope you don’t mind. xo

get your tissues when seeing this film, even the trailer got me watery eyes… being flynn with awesome robert de niro, jonah hill and julianne moore.

and then something that may make you tear up again {i did} BUT with laughter. i love jennifer westfeldt {if you haven’t seen kissing jessica, you should!!!} and of course jon hamm {her partner in real life} and edward burns are nice to look at, right?!? ;-)

and then suspense… sam worthington {you know him from avatar}, edward burns again and elisabeth banks {german release date: already showing}

and now raise your hand if you LOVE denzel washington… lately he’s into the bad guys it seems… {german release date: 23.02.2012}

and a very intense movie with adrien brody

AND a very inspiring documentary about happiness

of course there is more interesting stuff to see…

last week i came across this fantastic stylist’s portfolio {via morning’s light blog} of swedish furniture and product designer myrica bergqvist. she also has her own product range of handmade acrylic bowls, headboards, lamps and coasters in multiple colours. i admire her styling work, the eclectic mix of all things design and her use of colour. what’s your favourite?
